RateGrip collects an email address only when you request a rate alert. We do not sell it, use it for advertising, or add it to a marketing list.
What we collect
For a rate alert, we store your email address and the airport, pickup date, operator group, alert condition, and threshold you selected. We also keep limited, pseudonymous request records to prevent automated abuse.
How we protect it
Email addresses are encrypted before being stored. Duplicate detection and abuse controls use keyed fingerprints rather than readable addresses. Database access is restricted and connections are encrypted. Application logs are not intended to contain email addresses.
Confirmation and use
An alert does not become active until you confirm it by email. We use the address only to confirm and deliver the specific observed-rate alert you requested. RateGrip alerts report observations, not predictions.
Service provider
RateGrip uses Resend to deliver email. Resend necessarily receives the recipient address and message information while providing that service. See Resend’s privacy policy.
Retention and deletion
- Unconfirmed requests are deleted after 48 hours.
- Active alerts are deleted after their pickup date.
- Using an unsubscribe link immediately deletes the alert and its email address from RateGrip’s alert database.
- Short-lived pseudonymous abuse-prevention records are deleted after 24 hours.
Email measurement
RateGrip does not use open tracking or click tracking for rate alerts.
Your choices
Every alert email includes an unsubscribe-and-delete link. Because RateGrip does not maintain user accounts, that link is the direct way to remove the alert and associated address.
